Everything We Know About Jared Padalecki’s Walker, Texas Ranger Reboot
Supernatural may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean CW fans will have to say goodbye to Jared Padalecki! The network has already picked up Padalecki’s new series, a Walker, Texas Ranger reboot, to series, so we’ll barely have to say goodbye at all.
Though it seem unlikely that anyone would ever be able to recreate the magic that was Chuck Norris’s beloved series, Padalecki is certainly going to try. Right now, we know your biggest burning question is probably will we get to see Jared Padalecki on a horse, but to get you up to speed on all the other questions, here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Walker, Texas Ranger reboot.
There is no premiere date yet. The CW won’t announce their 2020-2021 slate until Upfronts in May, but given the star power and name recognition this show already has, it’s looking likely that this series will premiere in the fall of 2020 instead of at midseason in 2021.
The series will simply be called Walker. Rather than just ripping off the original title, this reboot has opted to go just by Walker and is being billed as “a reimagining of the long-running action/crime series Walker, Texas Ranger.”
Jared Padalecki will star and executive produce. Padalecki won’t just star as the titular character of the series, he’ll also be executive producing alongside Anna Fricke, Dan Lin ,and Lindsey Libertore. Padalecki will play Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two. After being undercover for two years, Cordell returns home to Austin in an attempt to reconnect with his children while dodging dust-ups with his conservative family.
He’ll have a female partner. One of the hurdles Walker will face after moving back to Austin is having to contend with a new partner, and his just so happens to be one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history.
There’s a mystery at the center of the show. You might have noticed that “widower” title in Padalecki’s character description, and there’s definitely more to that story. In addition to family and workplace drama, Cordell Walker will also be digging into the suspiciously murky circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.
Jensen Ackles is totally willing to direct. Padalecki’s Supernatural co-star has stepped behind the camera on Supernatural several times, and when TV Guide asked whether he’d be interested in directing his BFF’s new series, he said he’d absolutely “come over and boss him around a little,” if Padalecki asked.

Another CW star is signing on for the network’s upcoming “Walker, Texas Ranger” reboot. Variety has learned exclusively that “The 100’s” Lindsey Morgan has signed on for a lead role in “Walker,” which has received a series order at the broadcaster for the 2020-2021 season.
Morgan joins previously announced series lead Jared Padalecki, best known for his role on The CW’s long-running drama “Supernatural.” The casting keeps both Morgan and Padalecki in business with The CW, as both “Supernatural” and “The 100” are set to end during their current seasons on the network.
Padalecki stars as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home. He’ll attempt to reconnect with his children, navigate clashes with his family, and find unexpected common ground with his new partner (Morgan) — one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history — while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.
Morgan will play Micki, Walker’s new partner who was born and raised in San Antonio. Described as focused and perceptive, her family has been in Texas since before it was Texas. She’s been in the Army and on the police force and knows first-hand what it’s like to be singled out and discriminated against because of her gender.
Morgan has played the character Raven Reyes on “The 100” since the show began. It was announced in August that the show would end with Season 7, which will debut at midseason. She also previously starred on “General Hospital.” Her other TV credits include “The Night Shift,” “Destroy the Alpha Gammas,” and “How I Met Your Mother.” On the feature side, she has appeared in “Summertime,” “Inside Game,” and the upcoming “Skylin3s.”
She is repped by CAA and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
Anna Fricke is attached to write and executive produce “Walker.” Padalecki will also executive produce along with Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore of Rideback. CBS Television Studios will produce.
“Walker” is one of two shows that The CW has ordered straight-to-series for next season. The network is also currently prepping “Superman & Lois,” with Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch attached to play the legendary super couple. It was also recently announced that Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin would star as the Superman and Lois’ children, Jonathan and Jordan.

Non mi ero accorta di questa sezione, che effetto mi fa vedere il nome di Jared associato a un altro personaggio. Ho così anche scoperto che ha un aereo, non lo sapevo. Ma portava anche Jensen tra il Texas e il Canada? Sicuramente un bel risparmio di tempo . -

anni fa, dopo che aveva litigato non so quante volte, e con diverse compagnie aeree, arrivò conclusione di comprarsi l'aereo e se lo comprò, così non doveva più litigare per bagagli persi, ritardi nei voli e altro
e si, credo che Jensen ci sia stato spesso sul suo aereo, ma non solo lui, anche altre persone del cast e della crew
ultimamente mi è capitato diverse volte di pubblicare foto con Jared e Jason Cecchini, il suo stuntman, anche Jason abita a Austin e spesso in volo con Jared c'era lui. -

Keegan Allen Boards ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ Reboot at CW

“Pretty Little Liars” alum Keegan Allen has joined the cast of “Walker,” The CW’s upcoming reboot of “Walker, Texas Ranger,” Variety has learned exclusively.
He joins previously announced stars Jared Padalecki and Lindsey Morgan. Padalecki stars as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home. He’ll attempt to reconnect with his children, navigate clashes with his family, and find unexpected common ground with his new partner (Morgan) — one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history — while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.
Allen will play Liam Walker. Described as smart, slightly smug, but with a strong moral compass, Liam is Walker’s younger gay and conservative brother who has been recently promoted to assistant DA. Liam and Walker are close, but Liam gives his brother no shortage of tough love. Liam has always stayed close to home, often sacrificing his personal life in favor of his family duties. In Walker’s absence, he stepped up to take Walker’s kids under his wing. Liam’s close relationship with Walker’s son and daughter makes Walker slightly jealous.
Allen portrayed Toby Cavanaugh on “Pretty Little Liars” at Freeform throughout the show’s run. His film credits include “Palo Alto,” “Bukowski,” “The Sound and the Fury,” “Killing Animals,” “Actors Anonymous,” “In Dubious Battle,” and “King Cobra.”
He is repped by APA, Creative Talent Group and Jackoway Tyerman.

Posso capirlo! Pensa dover fare il pendolare tra Austin e Vancouver, andando avanti e indietro tutti i fine settimana con gli aerei di linea, i ritardi, le cancellazioni per maltempo e problemi tecnici, e gli orari "fissi" delle compagnie aeree. Potendo permetterselo, non mi stupisce che si sia comprato un aereo.

EXCLUSIVE: The X-Files alum Mitch Pileggi is set as a series regular in Walker, a reimagining of CBS’ long-running 1990s action/crime series Walker, Texas Ranger, headlined by Jared Padalecki.
Additionally, Pretty Little Liars‘ alum Keegan Allen recently joined the cast, joining Padalecki and previously announced Lindsey Morgan.

Like the original series, created by Albert S. Ruddy & Leslie Greif, the reboot, in which Walker is getting a female partner, will explore morality, family and rediscovering our lost common ground. It centers on Cordell Walker (Padalecki), a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home. He’ll attempt to reconnect with his children, navigate clashes with his conservative family, and find unexpected common ground with his new partner, played by Morgan, (one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history), while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.

Pileggi will play Bonham Walker, Walker’s father. He is sturdy, conservative and tough as nails but a family man through and through. A third-generation Texas rancher, he’s most comfortable taking care of business on the ranch — in the bullpen, supervising cowboys, training horses. Bonham is a man who speaks his mind. He’s not about to mince words when it comes to talking to his kids.
Allen will play Liam, Walker’s younger gay and conservative brother who recently has been promoted to assistant DA.

Pileggi is best known from his role as Agent Skinner on The X-Files.
